JVC XV-SA70 DVD/CD Single Player
DVD technology keeps improving — progressive scan DVD decks deliver a remarkably smooth, filmlike picture, while DVD-Audio players open up a new, exciting world of six-channel music. These versatile JVC decks boast both capabilities, and a lot more! The super-slim XV-SA70B and XV-SA75GD play an amazing variety of discs: DVDs, DVD-Audio discs, CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs… even MP3 CDs. (Using a PC and CD-R/W burner, you can fit up to 10 hours of MP3-encoded music on a single disc!)
DVD-Audio is an up-and-coming music format which uses virtually all of a DVD disc's data capacity to produce incredible sonic realism and detail, with up to 6 channels of sound. And as a bonus, this player's precision audio DAC (digital-to-analog converter) delivers excellent sound from your regular CDs, too. JVC also included built-in decoding for both Dolby® Digital and DTS®, for hookup flexibility with your home theater system.
These players are equally impressive when it comes to picture quality. Progressive-scan video delivers smooth images that look noticeably more filmlike than regular (interlaced) video — the bigger your TV's screen size, the more you'll notice the difference. JVC's Direct Progressive Scan Output uses a high-speed MPEG decoder to directly convert the DVD data to progressive, thereby avoiding interlaced-to-progressive conversion loss. (Progressive scan requires an "HDTV-ready" TV. This player also offers a terrific picture with a regular TV.)
